Original MSE Wall panels art was created by Terra Tectonics using local shells gathered from local beaches. We created the panel on our conference room table as a male mold, we packed and shipped the art to the mold builder and the wall panels were created for the project.

Terra Tectonics was commissioned in 1993 to be the Urban Designers for the widening of I-4 through the National Landmark Historic District of Ybor City. The bridge architecture and urban design are designed to mitigate the effects of the interstate through the historic district. We have been involved constantly in the design process with public meetings, workshops and FDOT reviews. As is typical with large projects this one lasted several years. Unique to this project we designed the pattern on the limestone panels for the bridge by imprinting shells to provide a sense of place.
Tampa Greenway Trail system was linked to the areas along the Interchange. Plan shows plantings in the interchange created to evoke an native-natural feel to the area, fora sense of place of the local environment.
Terra Tectonics was responsible for the Bridge Architecture, Urban Design, custom lighting design, fountain design and color selections coordination of public art, planting s and irrigation, along with the on-line lighting recommendations
Under-bridge pavement designs were created for all areas under the existing overpasses using patterns utilized in the Ybor City I-4 areas.
Large fountain with multiple levels overflows, fountain jets and lighting was created in the 21st& 22nd St. bridge underpass area.
